Interview with Dr. Joseph Pisano

We had the great opportunity to interview Dr. Joseph Pisano,
Assistant Chairman of Music and Fine Arts at Grove City College in
Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Pisano discussed several
items with us, such as using classical music archives in the classroom,
and some of the equipment that can be used, and using more modern music
without breaking copyright rules.

Dr. James Frankel featured on our 2nd Musicbridge Webcast

The beginning of the audio was not on line and therefore not recorded. There is quite a bit of noise and breaking up at first but it smooths out so please overlook the sub-standard quality. Skype was not coming through too well this morning. Dr. James Frankel shares his views on Music in the Classroom, copyrights and his newest projects and interests today on Musicbridges Webcast.

Kick-off Webcast with Karen Ellis

Karen Ellis of the National Children's Folksong Repository gave us more than an hours worth of insight last Sunday via a webcast. Lee and I both know that it will be impossible for all of you to get together at one time to listen to any speaker we have, so we have done the second best thing. We have recorded the live sessions so that you can download them and listen to them directly as if you were there at the same time.

Welcome to "I Got Rhythm: Music in the Classroom"

Welcome to the Musicbridge site. Feel free to join the community here and think about music and music in the classroom ideas you can share with us. I have included a bit of music to test our audio module. This is a little banjo clip I did with my group Cross Creek. I use it for podcast intros and other online event intros.
